Minister Richard Bruton joins the staff in Youth Nation to announce 25 new jobs in 2015

Minister Richard Bruton meets with IBYE’s Best Established Business’ for Dublin 2014

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton today met with the staff of IBYE’s Best Established Business in Dublin County 2014. Youth Nation is a company based in Dublin’s City Centre that specialises in youth entertainment and communications. It focuses on providing services in marketing and event management on behalf of its clientele.

Youth Nation has grown rapidly since opening its doors in April 2014. Originally launching with 5 members of staff, Minister Richard Bruton today welcomed the news that Youth Nation will employ 25 new staff in 2015 in the fields of marketing, digital media and business development to add to its’ growing team.

Youth Nation has been supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland.

Minister Bruton said: “Start-ups create two thirds of all new jobs in Ireland, and so we have put in place a specific plan to encourage more businesses to start-up, expand and create employment. Part of this is the new Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition, which attracted 1100 applications last year and saw some amazing young business-people progress to the finals. Jamie White and Youth Nation are one outstanding example of the quality businesses being started by innovative young people right across Ireland, and today’s news that they are creating an extra 25 jobs in 2015 is a great boost and a great example of what young entrepreneurs can achieve. I am determined that if we continue to implement our plan we can support more start-ups, create more jobs, and ultimately create a better country”;

Youth Nation currently employs over 40 members of staff who have been handpicked from the arenas of event management, online marketing and media communications. It is the fastest growing communications agency in Ireland so far this year with offices in Dublin and Belfast.

When asked about Youth Nation’s future, CEO and Ireland’s Best Entrepreneur 2014 finalist Jamie White commented; ‘the goal when Youth Nation was established was to create a company that delivered an exceptional service to its’ clients. I personally felt as though marketing to young people in Ireland had not progressed to the level of its’ international counterparts and wished to start a brand in Dublin that would become known as a competitive, efficient and outstanding service. So far we have worked with a range of clients from Irish start-ups to internationally recognisable brands. We hope to continue this trend of growth and to become known as a leading Irish brand in the world of marketing.’

Youth Nation won IBYE’s Best Young Established Business for Dublin City Centre, IBYE’s Best Young Established Business for Dublin County and has been nominated for a Digital Media Award 2015 and a Mobile Marketing Award 2015.
