Amendments to Statutory Instruments for Appliances Burning Gaseous Fuels, Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Safety of Toys

The 3 Statutory Instruments amend the law for (i) Appliances Burning Gaseous Fuels, (ii) Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and (iii) Safety of Toys.

They amend national rules on market surveillance due to changes in EU Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products (amending Directive 2004/42/EC and Regulations (EC) No 765/2008 and (EU) No 305/2011) adopted by the EU on 20 June 2019 and with effect on 16 July 2021. This EU Regulation aims to clarify the regulatory framework for market surveillance in the field of non-food products. For each of the three products, the CCPC is the relevant market surveillance Authority.
